Hi! My name is Alea Martin. I’m one of the behavioral coaches at AUTISM 360 and today I’m going to show you a really great strategy. It’s super quick and easy to do in the home working with eye contact.
Using your child’s favorite toy place it near your face or around your eyes to encourage the child to look at you. The moment your child makes eye contact quickly reinforce and say things like, “Oh! I love how you’re looking at me! Oh! good looking!”
By reinforcing and praising the child immediately you encourage great eye contact.
